
As part of Daytona Beach's yearlong sesquicentennial celebration, the City of Daytona Beach is inviting residents and visitors to explore 150 years of history and community in a whole new way through the free Agents of Discovery mobile app. Daytona Beach-specific challenges are available.
The city partnered with Agents of Discovery to create a custom, interactive educational experience that transforms Daytona Beach into a real-world adventure. Through a series of location-based and virtual challenges, participants can discover the people, places and stories that have shaped Daytona Beach since its incorporation in 1876.
What is Agents of Discovery?
Agents of Discovery is a free educational gaming platform that encourages users to get outside, explore their community and learn thorugh play. Geared towards youth ages 4-12, participants become "agents" who comlete mission by solving clues, answering trivia questions, identifying historic images, matching sounds, completing timelines and sharing their own memories.
The app combines technology, exploration and storytelling, making local history engaging and accessible for all ages.
Explore Daytona Beach's Past and Present
The Daytona Beach Sesquicentennial Mission features dozens of challenges located throughout the city, including the Riverfront Esplanade, Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell, Peabody Auditorium, Main Street, Midtown Recreation Center and City Hall.

Share Your Daytona Beach Story
Several mission challenges encourage participants to become part of Daytona Beach history by sharing photos, memories and messages for future generations.
Players can submit responses about their favorite experiences at the Oceanfront Bandshell, Peabody Auditorium or Daytona International Speedway. They can also contribute to a digital community time capsule by sharing favorite memories, special landmarks, hope for the city's future or messages for residents 50 years from now.
